This wasn't on the agenda. But Steven was adamant I had to see it, experience it when we were only an hour away on a train..

Our must do list for Rome:

-Colosseum tour- Easitaly tours. Expensive but worth it. 230 Euro for 3 hours. We fell in love with our guide who took us to the Jewish quarter and mentioned fabulous restaurants to try. 

-Fuocolento restaurant. SUPERB. And cheap.

- Leons place – fab hotel just far enough out of the crowds but 10 mins from everywhere

-Tavern Trilussa – MUST GO. Our tour guide told us about this place. It was so amazing. After you can stroll the streets of Rome, I even had my palm read. We walked to the Trevi fountain and the Pantheon to make room for gelato on the way home. Rome is incredible but way to hot in July. I had to retreat to my room twice because of heat stroke. There is no breeze, no respite from the heat, beware.
