Malta
MALTA-
Being half Maltese its been a dream for me to go to the motherland. I was blown away by this tiny country.
Stay in St Julians. I booked us into a place in Sliema (where my grandparents met) and its not as happening as St Julians. We moved from there after the air bnb wasn't what we expected.
- Barracuda for dinner, the food was great but the service was slow. You don’t mind when you are over looking the ocean and drinking Maltese Rose.
-Hire a car and road trip. You can pretty much see half of Malta in a day. It was an incredible way to see the country.
We grabbed Pastizzi along the way and stopped at Paradise bay (secret little beach locals love) for a dip.
- Ta Kris one of the best restaurants in Malta. It was PACKED. The food is authentic and inexpensive. I had the seafood spaghetti and the bragioli (rolled up meat stewed wth stuffing inside). Wine is 4 euros a glass.
-Valetta day trip, we took the car and saw some sights. It’s the historic and cultural centre.
- Boat trip THIS WAS A HIGHLIGHT. It was around 290 euro for 3 people and a skipper. David from Malta rib charters was great. He took us out to the caves and we stopped at the Blue grotto for a swim. It was full of locals and families. It was absoloute heaven even when the wter is super fresh.
- GULULU- the best meal I had in Malta. The Rabbit pasta was beyond anything I have expereieneced in my life. It was so incredible. I over ate so badly that the indigestion kept me up all night.
