Hi.

My name is Zoe Marshall, I'm an over sharer and media personality.

Detoxing: social media

Detoxing: social media

Just like we detox our bodies/homes/relationships its important to be aware of the people we "follow" on social media. I noticed that I had to unfollow @EmRata you know that hot model that found fame after appearing in Robin Thickes music video for "Blurred lines" I was over her insanely perfect everything.. I didn't feel inspired, I just felt underwhelmed.

Same with the perfect holistic, mother nature types that post their lean bodies and their goji berries. I feel so disconnected from that world. I love to be healthy but I also love 3 or so glasses of pinot on a Friday night. Who are we kidding.. Any night.

I also had to unfollow some "friends of friends" that are incredibly provocative and underdressed. I found myself judging them and that's not what I want to feel when I am scrolling through my feed.

Pretty much my rule of thumb is "If the picture evokes negative feelings" then that person gets the "unfollow" click. It's actually got nothing to do with them, its all about me and my reaction to them.

The things we surround ourselves with including social media creates the thoughts we have. And we all know that I believe "Thoughts create things" so I have to be mindful to make social media the same as my life.

A perfect balance of Kardashians and inspirational quotes...
