The Child of the Stolen Generation
The Deep acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live, and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
Cleonie Quayle is a survivor of “the stolen generation”. She was taken as a 4 year old by the Government, taken away from her family and community and placed in a group home with other children that had also been stolen.
This is a part of our culture as Australians and it happened not that long ago.
This is a story that needs to be heard.
