New beginnings with Mel
So 2014 has begun... I have my brand new Kikki K filofax and my favourite papermate felt tip pens and I can’t wait to plan, dream and document what my little clan and I might pursue this year. There’s something about a new beginning, a fresh start, a brand new year... it’s beautiful....it got me thinking, as it does every year, a few questions that helps shape what I want this year to look like...
- Where will we travel?
- What will we invest in? (time and finances)
- What family memories do we want to make?
- Who will we spend time with?
- What friendships do we need to nurture more and as harsh as it sounds, which ones do we need to let go....?
Life is so busy, our family is so hectic and since the loss of my beautiful dad only 17 weeks ago (I’ll share more about that one day) I’m more passionate than ever to make every moment count... To love extravagantly, to forgive quickly, to lace my words with loving kindness, to squeeze my babies cheeks (top and bottom J ! ) as long and frequently as I can, to eat those naughty things that end up on my hips without so much guilt and to get better at responding to unkindness with grace and dignity. I think that would be cool...
As you plan and ponder what 2014 might look like for you, never forget that there’s only one YOU, be the best you can....
